We are seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer with experience supporting a large network infrastructure.
This is a fully remote position.
Working Hours: Must be willing to work shifts to cover a 24x7 operational environment.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000, depending on experience
You Will:
- Provide Tier III help desk support for all tenants in the DHA network
- Triage issues and resolve and/or escalate them to the appropriate network teams for remediation
- Engage with internal and external customers to provide status updates on network issues
- Troubleshoot issues with a variety of different network devices and protocols
- Work in a team setting and make recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation
- Document projects, support actions, and other administrative artifacts to serve as reference material for related support activities and management staff
- Ensure incidents and service requests adhere to established service level agreements
You Have:
- U.S. Citizenship
- A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance
- 6+ years relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure
- A strong working knowledge with Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Virtual Private Network devices
- A good understanding of TCP/IP regarding routing and subnetting
- Experience with the following Network protocols and services:
- Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Access Control Lists
- Layer 2 Switching
- Spanning Tree
- Packet Analysis
- Good written and oral communications skills
- A can-do team player attitude that can work under pressure and prioritize tasking
- Willingness and ability to work shifts to cover 24x7 operational environment
Education:
- IAT Level II
- Security Certification (CCNP Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SCCP)
- Cisco OS Certification
We'd Be Impressed If You Had:
- Experience with the following a plus:
- Cisco Switch 4500X
- Cisco Switch 9000 Seried
- Palo Alto Firewall PA-5050
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
