Data/Security Analyst
Atlas Technologies, Inc., a rapidly expanding company supporting the U.S. Military and other Government entities, is seeking a Data/Security Analyst with a strong Information Assurance background, and who is a passionate, flexible, and highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals in Charleston, SC.
Pay Scale: $65,000 - $80,000 depending on experience
You Will:
- Monitor, analyze and respond to security events
- Investigate and assess potential security incidents, determining severity and impact
- Create and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
- Perform root cause analysis of security incidents, identifying vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions
- Document security incidents and findings in a clear and concise manner
- Assist in identifying system vulnerabilities and ensure system compliance with security standards
- Generate and maintain documentation related to IT security
- Review scan results for quality, including false positives, and provide actionable remediation steps
You Have:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Possession of or the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
- Effective communication skills and sharing of technical knowledge with developers and infrastructure teams
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team ethic, collaborating effectively with personnel at all levels and in all departments
- Excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills
- Highly organized work habits and the ability to organize and prioritize responses to effectively mitigate security threats
- Analytical abilities to identify and resolve problems using critical thinking
- Demonstrated skills in synthesizing and summarizing complex data into concise recommendations and reports
- The ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
- Self-motivation, strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- A passion for learning about, and working in the IT industry
- A CompTIA Security+ CE certification or ability to receive within 3 months
- 8+ years’ experience working with a wide range of IT products
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics is preferred, but relevant experience may be substituted for degree
- Relevant experience to include 8 years of experience in relevant technical field, to include: Systems Analysis, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and technical support of C5ISR requirements
